Once a village, Gracia is now a neighborhood that mixes tradition, art, sustainability and gastronomy. It is place full of local and bohemian life!

Casa Jam is located in the popular neighborhood of Gràcia, one of the most distinctive areas of the city. The neighborhood is made up of small streets and squares full of life, most of them pedestrianized, with taverns, bars and restaurants, studios and theaters, dance and art workshops, shops and spaces with a personal touch that make them unique. Gràcia is also a neighborhood of innovation and creativity. In recent years it has become an example of small businesses and businesses that promote ecology and sustainable development: second-hand stores, ecological textile stores, bio bakeries, artisan ice creams, etc.

Despite the modernity of the area, Gràcia has a village atmosphere. The neighborhood still retains its traditional spirit and maintains an important social and cultural fabric of small businesses and lifelong residents. In fact, it was a working-class neighborhood and this favored frequent movements of protest and solidarity that are still very present. Its neighbors claim and protect the neighborhood’s DNA every day. They are also vindicated against the mass tourism model that the city has been experiencing in recent years and that is having a special impact on its streets.

Gràcia has one of the most beautiful modernist buildings by the well-known architect Gaudí, Casa Vicens, increasingly popular with visitors. Other modernist attractions in the area are Parc Güell, Sagrada Família, La Pedrera and Casa Milà, just a 15 minute walk from CASA JAM.
